Brooklyn LOVED Halloween this year! She is finally at that age where she understands what fun these holidays are!

Favorites this year for Brooklyn:

*LOVED her preschool Halloween parade

*Made sugar cookies with family and had pizza

*went to TWO trunk or treats and went around the neighborhood

*being a princess for 2 days in a row and wearing makeup

*of course the CANDY

*visiting with family!

Addison had fun too, even though she doesn't understand why people are giving her candy and dressing funny! Hope you all had as much fun as we did! :)

This is one of my favorite times of the year. There is something about the chill in the air, pumpkin season, fall leaves and homeade soup that I love. Oh, besides being the start of all the holiday hoop-la, bring it on!

An apple a day....

well it kept the Dr. away, but not a little bad luck... :) (inside joke there).

Anyway, my little family and Lori went down to my Dad and Polly's to help pick apples on their two trees in the backyard! It really was very fun! Brooklyn is now a "Pro Apple Picker"!

Addison was a big helper too, she would put the apples that were on the ground in the buckets. She loved carrying them around and following her sister.

Addie baby...

Can't post about one and not the other.........
My sweet Addie...
She is talking like CRAZY, we don't understand most of it, but she's talking! A few words we do understand are Mamma, Dad, Sis, puppy, cookie and dishes. Dishes, strange huh, but if you remember one of Brooklyn's first words was "garbage". She loves playing with her sis. Addison hears any music and starts dancing. She just recently learned a new dance move, turning in circles. I wonder where she learned that......(Brooklyn) Anyway, she's a growin' and so cute! May I add, her hair is growing too. That makes me SO happy that I can do her hair now!!!

Brooklyn's first day of Preschool

Brooklyn has been waiting for this day for MONTHS. It finally came, she went to her first day of preschool last Friday. She had her backpack FULL of things to take with her. We emptied it the night before and she was able to take ONE toy for Show-and-Tell. Her cousin Ryan is in her class, but he was on vacation with his family for the first day. Aunt Sand (her teacher) said Brooklyn did great! I know she will continue to do great! I am so proud of my Brookie, love you sweetie!!!

Oh and a side note....I didn't cry, alot of you have asked me! Maybe a little emotional because I can't believe she is that big, but I didn't cry!

ahhhhh! They make me smile! :)

When a 3 year dresses herself....

So....we have a hat, last year's halloween shirt, a hula skirt, and boots! Oh by the way, this was earlier today, she NOW has on a dress and her princess high heel shoes. What a girl! :)

Park City weekend

For our anniversary Andy arranged for us to go the Park City for the weekend! He wanted to do the zipline, so we headed up to the Olympic Park. I was a wimp, and didn't go with Andy on the zipline. I was OH SO HAPPY to stay and take pictures. Besides we wanted pictures and I wouldn't just leave our camera behind with someone as we rode up the mountain....anyway there ya go! He had a blast!

Help us out!!

Andy & I have always loved taking pictures. Whether it was just taking TONS of our girls or family, Andy just going out and taking nature pics, it's always been a love of ours. We recently decided to try and make this a little side dilly! We have done a few sessions the last few months and have really enjoyed it. We made a website http://www.graciemaephotography.com/ (which is a combination of our girls middle names, with a little twist). We are just trying to get us out there a little bit more. We have a facebook page, and I am in the process of making a little "button" you can take and add to your own blogs!!

How could I forget THIS!!!!

We have been working so hard on this for months! I can officially say she is potty trained!!!! Ok well we're working on the nighttime, but most mornings she is dry when she wakes up! I would consider that trained. WE ARE SO EXCITED FOR HER TOO!!!!!! Good job Brooklyn!!!!

YEAH!!! We are so excited for our little Addie to be walking now! Brookie will have oh so much fun having a buddy to chase!

My baby turned ONE!!

Addison had a GREAT 1st birthday! Can't believe it has already been a year (July 3rd)~that is crazy!!! We had family over for a BBQ, and enjoyed the evening together! Thanks all for coming!

I love to see the Temple....

Last Friday we went to the Oquirrh Mtn Temple open house. What a beautiful temple! My girls were so good, of course until we were seated in a sealing room. Addison decided to show off her screaming skills and wanted to play! Nice! They really were good though! Brooklyn loved the chandeliers, but her favorite part was the water fountain outside! I know we went to the Timpanogos Temple open house when we were younger with my family, but this was an awesome experience as a mother to be able to take my own children! Who knows...maybe they will choose to get married there. It will be fun to share these pictures with them when they are older!

WOW........

it's really been more than a month since my last post. I must confess to my disappearance. I have found a new like for farming...... that is all!!!

We had a pretty busy May. Celebrated alot of May birthdays, went to Wheeler Farm with our friends, the Barnum's, and Memorial Day. We spent alot of time out working on the yard...it's definitely getting better. Of course lets not forget my everyday picture taking of my girls! Brooklyn and Addison amaze me everyday! Addison is going to be 1 year old in a month, and is learning new things. She has mastered her sippy cup, getting 4 teeth at once (which now totals 6), crawling & any day now....walking. Today in fact, she walked by herself holding onto a stroller. She gets into everything, and keeps us on our toes! Brooklyn is the BIGGEST helper! She loves being a big sister, and does all she can to help us out. She loves being outside and taking care of her flowers. She says the funniest things, and is so smart! She says when she grows up she wants to be a ballerina. (One day it was a firefighter....we'll see)

Fun, food & football...

We started off our day hoping we could have an easter egg hunt miracle.....and we did...NO RAIN! We had the kids do a little scavenger hunt to find toys and candy, then followed with the egg hunt. The kids had their own buckets, and their own colored eggs to find. As always, LOTS of candy, makes alot of happy kids! We had a fun time, lunch was great! Thanks to my family for coming!!! :)
