Andy has been wishing for a little man to join the family, looks like he got an early Christmas present!!!

Decorating for Christmas

The girls had fun decorating this year, they pretty much took control of decorating the tree! We only had to move a few ornaments......didn't they do a great job!

Snow Day!

Last week we had quite the snow storm, Heidi was so kind to go shovel for us. The girls were dying to go out with her, so 8:30 in the morning they were out playing. We made them some breakfast and hot chocolate and took it out to them, Brooklyn thought that was the coolest thing ever! They even made the cutest little snowman out in the backyard--which is SO fun to play in now that we have grass back there!

Addison's Indian day

At first, Addison had a hard time going to preschool, it has been nice for them to have some fun things planned to help her get there! Recently they had Indian Day, and the teachers paint up the kids faces and give them bows and arrows. Next week they will have a little Thanksgiving feast-which they all bring a little snack to share. I am so glad Addison loves preschool now!

Halloween time

It's been a while since I posted last, not that we haven't done some fun things...but we are expecting Baby G #3 and have been a bit on the sick side. I am a little over 3 months now, and hoping this will all end soon so we can enjoy the holidays! For October we had some fun crafts for the kids, carved our pumkpins, and had a few fun parties for Halloween and home and school. It's November now, and I am so ready for the holiday season, but first I'll recap the fun we had in October! Addison had a fun preschool parade and they all sang us some songs, it was really cute. Brooklyn had a party at her school, but no parade so I didn't get any pictures of her. We also went to my sister Cindy's work-Discover Card- they had a fun trick or treat night for the kids. On Halloween we took the kids trick or treating, they had a blast....too much candy, but fun!

School is in session

We had two big first days this last month. We had Brooklyn start Kindergarten and Addison's 1st year of preschool. Brooklyn loves school! Her teacher is Miss Farmer, and she has some great friends in her class. She has already brought home homework, done a fundraiser, and been a great student. I asked her what her favorite part of school was and she said "going to the library"! She can't wait to read, so that doesn't surprise me at all. Addison started preschool last Friday so has only gone once. She has looked forward to that day for along time. Even the drive to school she was so excited, but getting there she had a rough time. I think it hit her that it was HER turn. That used to be Brooklyn's school, and now its Addie's. She cried for a bit, but her teachers said she did awesome! We picked her up and she said she had fun, and wants to go back! We'll see what next week brings. I am so proud of my girls and their accomplishments, and can't wait to see what the year will bring!

It's all about the hair

Before school started for my girlies we decided it was time to do something with our hair. For the longest time Brooklyn had wanted to cut her hair, but when the time would come she would quickly change her mind and wanted it to stay long. Still undecided we went over to Bonnie's house and she started on me and Lori first. As we were talking with Brooklyn and Addison, Brooklyn wanted it cut short- but I think I was the one unsure now. I agreed, and Bonnie took a big snip and her hair and it was gone. I cried- not that I didn't like it, but it had never been that short since she was a baby. All the emotions were hitting me- she is growing up. Of course we all loved it, and she is so happy she did it! Addison got her hair trimmed, I didn't think I could handle to in one day... :). Bonnie put some really tiny (and I mean tiny) curls in her hair. It took along time, Addison even took a little nap. They both turned out darling and had fun-they've never had the works done with a shampoo before. Should've thought about taking the camera, but didn't. I did have Andy's ipod so I could snatch a few pictures.

And I'm back.....

Time to finally catch up with some blogging. Our computer had a meltdown a few weeks ago, so we are getting it up and running again. I have alot of posts that were kind of sitting on the back burner, so excited to get blogging again.  In August the girls were invited to go with their friend Kaylee to the Discovery Museum at the Gateway. They had tons of fun! It was crazy.....children everywhere, but fun! They loved the store and playing in the house. Addison to this day still asks us if we are going back to the museum. I may need to recover for a while..... :) Really though, a fun place for kids.
