Hungry Hungry Hippos

These were too cute. Addison wanted to play with her sis.
Usually Brooklyn has a harder time sharing toys with Addison, (because she is toooo tiny)but this she actually let her play. Until I said to be careful that she doesn't get any marbles, then Brooklyn got in worry mode.

Brooklyn's Drawing

Brooklyn drew a picture the other day, and I just had to post it. It is of a bird. My, her imagination is so incredible! I asked her what exactly each part was, and I labeled it.
If you click on the picture you can see it better.

Party, Party.....and another Party!

This year Brooklyn got to celebrate her birthday on 2 different days. She turned 3 on the 31st and had a New Year's Eve party to go along with it! We let her open a few presents on her birthday and then she got to pick out a cupcake and donuts. Later, the Shewell's came over and we had a Guitar Hero band party! It was so fun! We overloaded ourselves with food, and played to our hearts content! Brooklyn will think we have big parties just for her for years to come! I guess that is the fun of having it on New Year's Eve. On the other hand....that is why we did her family party on another day! Too much for one day....for me... :) We had family over on Jan 2nd...after a day of candy making, doctor visits for both my girls, and the Sugar Bowl! (GO UTES!) So I guess...I did plan alot after all. Oh well! It ended up being so much fun! I am glad Brooklyn had a great birthday! Thanks to all who came to be with her! :) Thanks to Kiley for making her Cinderella cake!

Christmas Eve & Christmas Day!

We had our Christmas Eve dinner up at Jeremy and Terra's this year. They do a wonderful job, as always! After Grandpa read us the Christmas story from the scriptures, and the kids acted out some parts from that. We then opened up our gifts from Grandpa & Grandma......PJ's! The kids had so much fun playing around in there new jammies! We had a great evening together! When we got home, Brooklyn got cookies and milk ready for Santa and reindeer sticks for the reindeer! Then it was off to bed!

We woke up Christmas morning and Brooklyn couldn't believe that Santa came. She was so excited! We opened gifts, then hurried off to my Dad's for a light breakfast and exchanged gifts! Even though are family is HUGE~ There is something about being at Dad's and squishing together~ It was so much fun, and glad finally ALL our family could get together! We came home and let Brooklyn and Andy play with their new toys! hee hee :) Later that evening we went over to Andy's mom and dad's for dinner and more presents! We had a great day together with everyone!
We also were trying to explain to Brooklyn the reason we celebrate Christmas, and is so cute and says, "Is Jesus coming to our house too?"

Gerritsen Family Christmas Party '08

Last Saturday we had the Gerritsen Family Christmas party! It was alot of fun! There was fun games for the kids, and each got there own mini Christmas tree to decorate. Brooklyn had fun chasing all her other cousins around the room, and Addison just slept the night away. The kids exchanged gifts and Brooklyn got a new kitchen cooking set, and Addison got a cute shirt and pants.

For me, and I am sure others....the fav was Rock Band. What a fun game!!! I hope Santa brings me that.....wink wink! :)

Happy Thanksgiving!

This year we celebrated Thanksgiving with Andy's family at his Aunt Mary's house. Friday we had the Evans family dinner. We had a fun couple of days, and glad we could spend it with family! AND...it was Bill's birthday on Thanksgiving! Happy Birthday to you, Bill! :)

Tractor tippin'

Since I am catching up on posts.....this is from a few weeks ago too. We live by the canal, as most know, and they were doing maintenance work. This little baby decided to slip off into the ditch~!

Yea! I was freaking out. How would they get it out? Is it going to hit my house? The rock wall...AHHH! I had many things going through my head that morning. Brooklyn probably thought I was nuts running around the house. They brought in another to try to pull it out. That was making it worse! The more they were trying to pull it out, the more the back was running into the fence.
Needless to say, they got it out, and fixed the fence very quickly! Just made for a very interesting morning! :)

Fun with the nephews & nieces

We had the chance to watch my sister's boys and Andy's sisters kids on the same night. We thought it would be fun to make cookies so they could frost them. Savannah ended up falling asleep (not feeling well) so I didn't get pictures of her. They had a good time frosting....well for the time that they did. Me and Lo ended up frosting the rest! But it was fun! Then a week later Lo and I made another batch of cookies since they were soooo yummy, so here are some pictures of both of those days!

Disney on Ice!

We took Brooklyn to Disney on Ice last weekend. It was so much fun! We drove downtown and parked under the Church Office Building. We rode the "Train" to the Energy Solutions Arena. Brooklyn had fun on the train. It was so new to her, she just kept smiling. We got to the arena and she got to pick a toy from Aunt Lo, as princessy as she is, she got a wand. We bought her a crown, and then her and Addison both a Minnie Mouse. She was so excited for it to start, when it finally did she was all smiles. The look on her face was priceless!
