Backyard Adventures...

Last Saturday we spent a few hours at Backyard Adventures for Hayley's birthday (my niece)! She turned 4, and I am sure she just loved this birthday! The kids had alot of fun, including the "BIG" kids...(wink wink Andy). We all wished we could take one of those playgrounds home with us. We had a great time! Happy Birthday Hayley! :)

Playing Outside! :)

Brooklyn just loves to be outside. Here are some pictures we have taken of her playing with her friend Riley, and daddy! She also loves to do bubbles with Aunt Lolo! She has got some great facial expressions when the bubbles pop by her! Too bad we can't keep the weather nice to play outside more often! Someday! :)

Brookie's little visit....

Last week we had a little adventure to Primary Children's. (no worries). Brooklyn had been to the dentist and they found a few teeth that needed to be taken care of. In order to do that, we thought it was best to have her under anesthesia, being that she is the strongest 2 year old I know, and wouldn't let anyone go near her teeth. We started out at about 9:00 in the morning, and filled out paperwork, then she was checked out by a nurse to make sure she was healthy, and to ask a few questions. She weighs 24 pounds, and according to the height measurement is as tall as Cinderella. (I am not really sure what the REAL measurement was though) :)

She got to play with bubbles and toys, get into some pajamas and was pretty excited to be wearing a bracelet with her name on it! She most definetely doesn't like being at the doctor, but was a trooper! We waited for a bit longer and then they gave her some medicine to make her somewhat sleepy and then they took her. The medicine didn't quite kick in, so she was VERY upset leaving us. To me, that was the hardest part. I had a few tears myself! :) We waited for about 1 1/2 hours until they were done, and then we got to go get her and stay with her until she was able to hold down fluids and wake up a bit more. She was such a BIG girl. She had no real pain afterwards, and only was sick for a few hours after we got home. The doctor said she might have sore gums for a little while, but it didn't seem to bother Brooklyn. She was eating graham crackers and being her happy little self by nighttime. It was quite a day, but we made it! I am just thankful that we were there for such a tiny fix, and that she is a healthy girly with a pretty smile!!!

There's more where that came from....

I have been going through ALL my pictures that I have taken over the last few years. My oh my...I can see why i have no hard drive space on my computer anymore. Thought it would be fun to post some pictures of Brooklyn each a year apart. We got another hard drive today in the mail for our computer....so the pictures will continue....woo hoo!!! :) I love taking pictures and can't seem to delete any on the camera...Thanks Andy!

Oquirrh Mountain Temple

As a Young Women's group we've been visiting the temple site as it progresses. Right now if you drive by it, it looks like a "yellow" temple because they are insulating it. The steeple is almost ready to be put on too. It was fun to be there and reminded me of when the Bountiful Temple was being built, and as a family we would drive up there and watch it's progess. It's so great that we have the opportunity to watch these wonderful buildings being built, and know bits and pieces of what it takes to make them so beautiful.

St. George Trip

We just got back from our little family vacation to St. George. We thought it would be fun to do before we had our second little arrival in July. Lori came with us, and it was alot of fun. We stayed at a condo for a few nights, then a hotel for one night. We just had a great time relaxing at the pool, shopping, and even drove to Las Vegas for a few hours to show Brooklyn the M&M factory. We visited the St. George temple, and celebrated mine and Lori's birthday while we were there. It was great weather, and we had a great time! Can't wait until the next time!!!

Hap Hap Happy Birthday!!!

We just celebrated 3 birthday's on March 26. Seth and Savannah (Dillingham) and Parker (Buckley) share the same birthday. We hope they had a great day! Happy Birthday!

Daddy's little helper....

Brooklyn is becoming quite the little helper these days as you have seen in previous posts! Andy bought her a little shovel or as Brooklyn says "shobel" and some gloves to help with the backyard. We have got quite the project on our hands, and are excited to get going on it this spring. We laid our leftover sod from the front yard in the back last summer, and it didn't last so we are tearing it out and laying a bigger patio. Here is what it looked like last summer.

Now it is just weed central, and dead grass. We have been working on getting it cleaned up to start with the patio.

Happy Easter!!!

Happy Easter everyone! Here are some pictures from our easter Sunday. Brooklyn found her basket from the Easter Bunny, and then we got ready for church. She likes to tease us and run around the house when we are trying to take pictures. So we ended up in her room. After church we went to the Gerritsen's for dinner. It was delicious!! We tried getting some pictures of all the kids, but is getting harder to do that! They are still so cute though! Hope everyone had a great day, I know we did!

Easter Party!!!

Saturday we had my family over to our house for our traditional Easter Egg Hunt and dinner. We hid the eggs in our front yard and our neighbor's let us use their's while they were out of town, so there was a bigger area for them to find eggs. The kids got a bit spoiled this year, lots of candy, toys, did I say CANDY! It was fun though! My dad was so excited to be wearing that fabulous easter hat!!! He was our official easter bunny! Then we had our dinner and a cake for Heidi's birthday (which was the 18th-Happy Birthday)! Then later that evening after family left we colored our easter eggs. Andy did most of the coloring, By then Brooklyn was tired.....and so was I! Egg Painting What a FUN day!
