24th weekend in a nutshell.

The last part of July Andy was able to take some time off work (being his birthday and the 24th holiday) so we decided we wanted to do as many fun things as we could since we don't get the opportunity often. Also can't beat free tickets!
We celebrated his birthday kind of laid back, he didn't want to do anything too big. I had got work done early that day so I could spend time with the girls and Andy. We were about to head out for the day and Andy got a call for a part time job interview. SOOO....since he has been waiting to hear back about different jobs we decided to go ahead and went with him to interview (well we walked around the store while he interviewed). After my dad and Pauline had invited us to lunch so we had his favorite, Training Table.

Later on we had cake for him and enjoyed our evening watching movies.

The next day we had our 1st super deal on tickets and took the girls to the zoo! The last time we took them Brooklyn was about 2 1/2 yrs and Addison was 2 weeks old. So we figured they would have a bit more fun now that they were older. Brooklyn said that all the animals were her favorite, but said she loved the new baby elephant, Zuri.

On the 24th we watched that parade and then went to see Toy Story 3. This was Addison's first time in a movie theater so we weren't sure how she would do. She did great! Thanks to Lo and Heidi we scored our second day of free tickets! It was super fun to have Lori and Heidi there! Then later that night we went to my sister Cindy's for her traditional 24th block party! It was  a super fun weekend and glad the girls enjoyed it all!!

Days of '47 float preview

Today we took the girls to the Days of '47 float preview at the South Town Expo. We were to vote on our favorites, and Brooklyn and Addison chose # 17.  Brooklyn loved the fairies and the princess carriage....I can see why it would be their favorite! The girls got to meet a clown and he made them flower balloons. We had a great evening together, it's been awhile since we've been able to do something with just our little family! Oh...and it was FREE, even better!!!

Fishing with Daddy

Brooklyn had her first experience fishing with her daddy a few weeks ago, and they had a blast. Brooklyn has been wanting her daddy to teach her how to fish for along time now, and they finally had the chance to go. They went to the Bountiful pond and her Uncle Dennis and cousins came along too. Brooklyn can't wait for her daddy to take her again!

Our baby turned "2".....

The candles blew themselves out this year.....so we pretended!

We threw Addison a Hello Kitty-flower-polka dot party this year. Did I take pictures of all of the decorations...of course not--but it turned out so cute!!! We had a busy day since we were celebrating the "4th" and her birthday, but it was SO fun! I love to throw parties, so we wanted to make it super fun since we were celebrating the two events. We had A BBQ with both sides of our family, had a pinata for the kids- which Addison was afraid of ..maybe she was just sad the other kids were hitting Hello Kitty, who knows! The Shewell's stayed and watched fireworks with us later that night! I hope Addie had a great day...she sure was tuckered out by the end of it! Thanks to all of our family who came and a bigger thanks to everyone for helping out!!

Happy Birthday Addie! We love you!

4th of July 2010

We had a long and super fun weekend!!! We had our traditional breakfast at my Dad's on Saturday which was also Addison's birthday. After that we came home to get ready for Addison's party! It was fun to have the family all together! Later that night we watched the Magna fireworks from our house and did some of our own!

Water fun!

The girls have been so excited to get out in their new pool, so we spent a few days outside so they could play! They have loved having Riley & Kenza to play with too!

Addison's big girl bed

We finally got Addison her first big girl bed. She loves it! She has slept in it from the minute we got put together. I was so nervous that she wouldn't stay in it, but has proved to me that she IS a big girl!

Build-a-bear

We took the girls to Build-a-bear at the Gateway after Brooklyn got out of preschool last Friday. Brooklyn chose a pink bear, and Addison chose Hello Kitty. Brooklyn did most of the work, since Addison didn't like the loud noises from the machines. They started off with making them soft & cuddly, they were given a heart to put in their animals, and made a wish. Brooklyn took them to be brushed & washed, then we picked out their outfits. Then we made birth certificates and named them, and they sent them home with a little house. I must say, that store really does have EVERYTHING to accessorize and clothe those animals. The girls had so much fun, and I was super happy that we all finally were able to get out of the house and do something FUN!!

She did it!!!

First Day of Preschool-Sept. 2009

Last day of Preschool- May 2010
Brooklyn just finished her first year of preschool, and we could not be more proud of her! She loved going, and meeting new friends. Today they are having a BBQ for all the kids, and she was super excited to go. She learned so much this year, and has grown so much! I loved seeing & hearing about what she did each week. Brooklyn wrote her teachers a thank you note and was super excited to give it to them last week. She is planning on going back to preschool in the fall and can't hardly wait! Way to go Brooklyn! We love you sweet-pea!

Gracie Mae Photography update

We've been a bit on the busy side, and haven't had much time to take many pictures lately. So I decided to do a little shoot with my girls. They are adorable, and I love that they are so willing to be my little helpers! Someday we'll get back into the groove of things....If anyone is interested and needs pictures, don't hesitate to ask....we really would love to help out!
