Deep frying fun..

I finally used my new fryer I got for Christmas a few weeks ago and we made donuts! They turned out really good. We could have cooked them a bit longer, but not bad for our first try! I topped it off with a yummy chocolate glaze..... Mmmmmm!

AVON anyone....

Yep...I did it. I am starting up my own AVON business. I have been going back and forth about doing it, but just made the decision to give it a try. I am excited about it, and hope that with your help....(no pressure :) ) that I can make it work! If anyone is interested and doesn't already go through someone, I would love to be your gal! I will be getting a website and you can order directly on that, or I have brochures I will be handing out. For my family and friends that don't live in my area or out of state....you can by online through me and get it shipped right to you! I will have more details later when I learn a bit more about it. Another make-over......

I have come to realize that I have just as much fun giving my blog "make-overs" as I do blogging. I feel like I am always wanting to change it up a bit! I love google....and I love all the free things you can download. I LOVE LOVE my new photoshop elements 8. I have been able to try almost everything on PSE that Photoshop CS4 can do and it works....which makes me very happy considering this is MUCH cheaper! I have learned alot over the last little while, I just wish I had more ways to use what I have learned. Maybe that is why I am always wanting to give blog make-overs!! Also, I know everyone has different size computer screens, so when I make these I make them to fit my screen....I'd be interested to know how much of it you can see.

New Do's.....

BEFORE & AFTER.......

Brooklyn has been so excited to go to Bonnie's house for her haircut, techinally this is her first REAL haircut....we've trimmed in the past, but this is the first BIG one. Addison was SO good, she sat so still for her, and was such a big girl!
Brooklyn got about 2 inches cut off w/ a little layer and Addison got her bangs cut and a cute little bob! I LOVE THE new do's!!!!! It makes them look even bigger......*sigh*! :)

I also got my hair done, which I LOVE too!

Tackling this yard.....AGAIN.....

We have one heck of a backyard...and are at it once again. Last year we were not able to do much with it, and so we just tried to keep the weeds controlled......I must say they they are stubborn little things. In the last few years we have had a bobcat, sprayed, mowed, sprayed, pulled, sprayed again, dealing with mice and gopher holes.We knew this would be an on-going project being that it is big, so since it was pretty good weather we were able to get out last weekend and clean up the old and new weeds on the canal side of our house. Then we layed visquine (sp?) to help prevent more weeds. We are hoping to "dry-scape" that area soon, and sod. This picture is just showing part of the side of the house....It looks so good now! :)

This other picture shows some grass we already had, we are hoping to go further with sod. We will gradually have grass for our backyard and are going to start a garden too. I am so excited to start on these projects, and hopefully allergies will continue to let me!! :)

Sing & Dance with me....

So glad it's March now! We've actually been quite bored here at our house....trying to get rid of all this sick junk.....(we've had someone sick since the week before Christmas). Since we've been home bound for awhile what could be more fun that videoing the kids.....they crack me up. I am big on pictures and video's, I love to be able to look back and capture these cute little moments! Alot of videos I have watched back I would not have remembered so I am glad I got them on tape!
My girls love to sing and dance.....especially the same songs, over and over and over and over...... Addison is dancing like Brooklyn in this video....

This one cracks me up! I have the camera so they can see themselves in it and Addison decided to show off her drama skills....she can be sad and switch right back to singing and smiling...she is so goofy!

I am so happy to be able to stay at home and enjoy these silly moments with my girls! :)

Loves to Grandma!

Just wanted to show off the way cute skirts Grandma G. made for the girls! She did such a super job, the girls look adorable! Thanks Grandma! :)

Practice makes perfect.....

Brooklyn gave her first talk in Primary this past Sunday! She did such a SUPER job! She practiced over and over and even had some of it memorized. Sunday came and she waited so patiently for her turn, when she got up to the podium she stood on the tallest stool. Her in all her tinyness was barely seeing over the microphone. It was so cute! She grabbed ahold tightly to the microphone and gave her talk about Prophets. We taped it at home so we could share it with our family and friends!!! I think she "aced" this one! Great job Brooklyn! :)

They grow up too fast....

has been running through my mind these last couple of weeks. I know they grow up fast, but seriously, this fast.....? Addison is now 19 months, and has entered into the "terrible 2's" phase a bit early. She's our fiesty baby, and we knew it was coming. On the other hand, she is super smart. She is starting to talk and we can understand for the most part what she is trying to say. If you tell her to go do or get something she will do it. She loves to play,and sing and dance like her sister. She is not a baby anymore.....she really is growing up fast.

Brooklyn is 4, and the best big sister. She loves to play with Addison. She is very smart and loves preschool. She loves to play games, and do her "homework" (this is what she calls it when she draws and colors). She loves primary, and is so excited that she gets to sit on the big chairs now. She loves talking about how she used to be a sunbeam and now is a CTR. She also loves to sing & dance...and may I add...they are DARLING dancers. She is a great example to Addison, and I know Addison looks up to her even at this age. Brooklyn says the funniest things....almost everyday we are saying.."Did she really just say that?" She really is growing up fast.....

So now that I have come to the conclusion that they won't stop growing.....I am excited to see what else is in store for us....they amaze me...they keep me on my toes and through the fits and tears I LOVE them to pieces!!!!!
