Addison is finally "3"!

This little cutie has been patiently waiting to be 3! She said that when she turns 3, she gets to go to preschool and get a teacher, go potty like a big girl and not wear pullups. Seriously, since she has been 3 she has been one easy girl to potty train. Addison really DID want to be 3 to go potty like a big girl! My little Addie is such a sweetheart, and I really did love planning this party for her, whether she wanted it or not! ha ha! When I asked her about it she said "yes", but I felt so silly- thinking to myself, "is that what she really wanted". Well it turned out to be SO much fun, and I believe everyone enjoyed it! I had the party the day before her birthday since her birthday was on Sunday this year. We chose a carnival theme for her party. We had so much fun with it! We had "carnival" foods, games, and prizes for the kids. We had tickets that everyone got for food, and could enter those into a drawing for a prize. The kids also got tickets to play their games. She got alot of fun gifts from family and friends. I just love my big girl, and hopes she had a fantastic day! :)

Sun, sun and more sun...

Since we have had our grass in the backyard, this summer has been MUCH more fun to play outside! A few weeks ago we had my family over and we set up a net and played volleyball! I haven't done that in years, it was so much fun! The girls have also had many opportunities to play with their new swingset and in the water! We bought a bigger pool that they play in, but we had this smaller pool that we bought for a game for Addison's birthday, that they love putting at the bottom of the slide! It has been nice to have those new additions to our yard to keep them busy! They also still love riding their bikes and playing with friends! This year has been harder for me with work to get out with my girls and play, but I love it when I can! Many more fun days ahead!

Aunt Sand's Preschool

Well I have a preschool "graduate".....and can I say that I am one happy mommy! She has done amazing over the last 2 years, and is so ready to move on the Kindergarten. Last Tuesday her preschool does a play that I personally looked forward to all year long. All the kids get to participate and have parts, and I don't know how they get them all to do it, but they do. Aunt Sand's preschool is amazing.....Sandra (Teacher)was also given a special award from West Valley City, and happened to have Brooklyns preschool class there the day the Salt Lake Tribune came. Last Thursday was Brooklyn's last day BBQ and we gave them a little gift that we made.  Teacher and Mrs Thomsen are amazing teachers, they make EVERY child feel special, and have a way of teaching those kids that truly touches my heart. As a mom, I couldn't be more proud of my girls.....It's a big year for us and Brooklyn moves on to the BIG school and Addison starts preschool. I love them both so much, and couldn't be more blessed to have such sweet girls!

Coloring eggs & Easter Sunday

Saturday we had a busy day...finished the backyard, did some other yard work, got ready for the easter party, had the easter egg hunt and dinner, went last minute shopping to get easter dresses- I don't usually procrastinate on that, but it totally spaced my mind this year. At about 10:00 PM we finally got to decorating our easter eggs. Addison was asleep so Brooklyn took charge and decorated the eggs. Sunday we enjoyed a great sacrament meeting & primary-  and when we came home, that sneaky little Easter bunny had visited our house. He hid all the eggs Brooklyn colored and gave them each a basket full of goodies. As much as I love projects & planning we enjoyed relaxing the rest of the day with our little family!
