Preschool Halloween parade

Last Thursday, we went to Brooklyn's Halloween parade at preschool. Teacher had each child walk out and show off their costumes & since Brooklyn was Cinderella she got to say "I lost my glass slipper", they sang a few Halloween songs for us, then they all paraded around to the "Monster Mash". After they served donuts & gave all the kids a big bucket full of goodies. They always do such a great job with these kids!

Painting pumpkins & Halloween surprises...

We've been planning for our traditional Halloween party, and with our outings to Michaels I got the girls their own pumpkins to paint. Brooklyn said. "Mom, this is the first time I have ever painted"....(other than bedroom walls). How sad is that? Well we can check that off the list, now they have and did a VERY good job! They are both so like me....don't like mess. Every time either one made a mess they wanted to clean it up right then. After they dried we hung them up on one of our walls, and they look so cute!!!

Aunt Desa also surprised the girls with a Halloween sack full of some fun Halloween things. THANKS AUNT DESA!!!

Which witch is which......

Saturday we had a girls night out and went to see the Witches at Gardner Village. I think everyone else had that same exact idea....it was CRAZY busy!  Brooklyn loved holding Addie's monkey backpack or "leash" so we wouldn't lose her in the crowds. Grandma Polly bought us yummy M&M cookies, and visited a few stores including our favorite candy store.

Fair fun

We did another of our traditional outings, and went to the fair. The girls LOVED the farm, it's actually one of my favorites for the kids too. Brooklyn as been 3 times now, and this was Addison's first time.
We re-lived some good 'ol memories this year, and even got stopped by a news crew (of course a few of us were a little wimpy), but Tres talked with him. The kids also won a creative award ribbon for finding 10 bees in one of the exhibit buildings. Brooklyn said one of her favorite parts was seeing the little piglets & petting the animals. Girls loved it, we had fun...I think it was a sucessful trip this year! :)

First day back to preschool...

It's that time again for preschool! This is Brooklyn's 2nd year back, and so far is loving it! She loves going 2 days a week now. She is already doing awesome with her schoolwork. She has brought home her work with "excellent" & "perfect" notes from her teachers. I know she will continue to do great, and am so excited that she loves it so much! Addison is my little riding buddy and loves taking her to class. She is always asking "where's sissy"...too cute!

September birthday bash!

So, on my side of the family we have quite a few birthday's to celebrate. Lori and I came up with an idea to celebrate all the September birthday's together, and threw them a party at our house. We made each "birthday boy/girl" their own cake and had everyone over for dinner. It turned out great, and I think they all had a fun time!

Lovely locks

I caught my girls in the bathroom doing hair the other day. I loved their facial expressions and how Addison kept copying Brooklyn! These two crack me up everyday!

Hanging with the cousins....

The girls had their cousins over this week to hang out while Kiley and Dennis went out for her birthday. They had a pizza party and had fun doing shoulder and piggy back rides! The girls enjoyed having them over to play! I grab the camera and the girls of course strike a pose! Man, their cute!
